 SWR Super RedHead
Welcome to the party! 2008 marks the twentieth anniversary of a love
affair between bassists and the most influential (and most imitated) bass combo amplifier
in history the SWR Redhead. The original Redhead revolutionized bass guitar
amplification by combining SWRs crystal-clear full-range tube preamp with a robust
solid-state power platform into a rock solid, yet easily portable 2X10 cabinet. Loaded
with two state-of-the-art 10 speakers and a high frequency horn, the Redhead sounded
simply phenomenal and offered unprecedented patching options designed to meet the needs of
discerning bassists, whether playing live or in the studio. Twenty years later, its
features are far more than just relevant they remain industry standards.

SWR 500
This is where it all started! The SM-500 is a direct descendant of the
original SWR amplifier, the world-famous SM-400. Often copied but never matched, the
SM-500 features the original SWR tube preamp and a four-band graphic/semi-parametric EQ so
that your best tone can be dialed in - regardless of the playing situation. Over the years
we have added features like a side-chain effects loop, a stereo master volume control and
transparency (for the crystalline highs), but this is essentially the same amplifier that
started a revolution in bass amplification back in the early 1980s - and nothing else
sounds quite like it!
|
 SWR SM900
The SM-900 has been one of the most requested bass amplifiers for

the sweet, warm SWR tube preamp tone with two power modules for the option of 900 watts in
bridged mode (400 per side in stereo). The dual three-band semi-parametric EQs can be can
be combined into a single six-band configuration - offering more tonal control than is
available in many professional quality studio consoles. Add the extensive patching options
on the back of the amp and you have a perfect tool for the working bassist. It's no
surprise that this workhorse continues to set the standard for bass amplifiers! |
